Day2: Bangkok

Rise and shine, it’s time to explore bustling Bangkok! Today we’ll embark on a half-day tour to give you the rest of the day to do as you wish. Our adventures take us to the Grand Palace with the Emerald Buddha, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of an ancient Siamese court, as well as previously being the residence of the Kings of Bangkok. Spend as long as you like here as that’s all we have planned for the day. Return to your hotel later for an overnight stay.

Day3: Ayutthaya

We’re heading away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok today and discovering the wonders of Ayutthaya. Ayutthaya lies about an hours journey by coach to the north of the city and was the proud and powerful ancient capital of Siam until its destruction, 230 or so years ago. Much of the fabulous ornate city was lost at that time, but what remains will still give you an excellent idea of what life was like when the Kings of Ayutthaya ruled. You will also visit the nearby summer palace of the modern-day Chakri dynasty.

After you’ve explored this enchanting place, you will travel by coach to hop on a cruise boat at Wat Chong- Lom Pier for a leisurely boat ride up and down the Chao Phraya River taking in all of the splendid scenery and typical Thai water-borne life on the way. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day4: Bangkok, Lopburi & Sukhothai

Say goodbye to beautiful Bangkok, we’re heading out to Lopburi. We’ll stop along the way at the temple of Wat Pra Phrang Sam Yot Lop, a perfect example of Angkor style and a real pride of the whole city, also famous for welcoming a very large community of nice monkeys! We’ll then continue on to Sukhothai, the first capital of Siam and the most important and most important artistic site of Thailand.

After lunch in a local restaurant, we’ll start exploring the dotted wonders of the Historical Park and the World Heritage of Humanity. Afterwards, we’ll head to our Sukhothai hotel for an overnight stay.

Day5: Sukhothai – Phrae – Phayao – Chiang Rai

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll leave beautiful Sukhothai behind and depart for Chiang Rai. Along the way, we’ll visit the Vonburi House in Phrae, a very well preserved teak house museum. Hop back on the coach until we get the largest lake in Thailand in Phayao. Bask in the pristine natural beauty of this lake before we head into Chiang Rai and head straight to the famous White Temple.

After a visit to this too-good-to-be-true temple, we’ll check into our hotel for some downtime, before we head to the bustling night markets and discover hidden treasures. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day6: Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai

After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the Ban Dam, a house built in the style of a museum but completely black in colour. It’s a truly fascinating sight! Continue on to the Golden Triangle, the famous place along the Mekong River where Thailand meets Laos and Myanmar. Visit Mae Sai, a town that borders with Myanmar, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Depart for Chiang Mai, also known as the Rose of the North and visit the incredible Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the city. Check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day to do as you wish. Overnight at your hotel.

Day7:  Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary & Departure

Rise and shine, we have an exciting day ahead of us! It’s important to note that the trip to the sanctuary can be up to 2 hours long, however, this will be a true highlight of your tour. Come face-to-face with the gentle giants and be humbled by hand-feeding them, looking after them, washing them and bathing with them.

After a day with the elephants, we will transfer back to the hotel and you will have free time to explore charming Chiang Mai. We’ll transfer you to the airport in the afternoon and say goodbye! (Please make sure your flights depart no earlier than 6 pm, we’d hate for you to miss your flight!)
